Selenite: The Light-Bringer of Crystals
July 22, 2025One of the most powerful shifts we can make on our healing journey is recognizing the lies we tell ourselves. These lies are often so subtle and deeply ingrained that we don’t even know they’re there. They show up as thoughts, patterns, and emotions that keep us in cycles of pain, limitation, and victimhood.
We all have an inner narrative. It was shaped by our childhood, culture, family, and past experiences. And without realizing it, many of us are living out stories that were never ours to begin with.
Stories like:
-
“I’m not good enough.”
-
“People always leave me.”
-
“I’ll never be successful.”
-
“Healing works for others, not for me.”
These are not truths. They’re programs—copied and pasted from the outside world, reinforced by fear and repetition. The more we believe them, the more we act from them. And the more we act from them, the more they become our reality.
But here’s the truth:
You are not your programming. You are not your pain. And you are not a victim.
You are powerful. You are aware. And you have the ability to shine a light on the lies and choose something different.
When we start to catch the lies as they come up, we interrupt the loop. We stop feeding the story. We reclaim our voice.
Where Do These Lies Come From?
The mind is like a sponge in early life. We absorb other people’s fears, wounds, and limitations. A parent’s insecurity becomes your own. A teacher’s criticism becomes your inner voice. A past rejection turns into self-protection. Over time, these become part of your identity—but they were never the truth of who you are.
Healing is about remembering. Reclaiming. Rewiring. And it starts with awareness.
A Simple Practice: Lie to Light
This is a gentle, daily practice to help you begin shifting out of victim stories and back into your power.
Step 1: Notice the Thought
When you catch yourself feeling low or stuck, pause and ask:
“What am I telling myself right now?”
Write it down, even if it feels silly or small.
Step 2: Ask the Origin
Where did this belief come from? Who told you this first?
Was it true then? Is it true now?
Step 3: Speak the Truth
Now rewrite the lie into an empowering truth.
Instead of “I’m not good enough,” try:
“I am learning, growing, and exactly where I need to be.”
Step 4: Breathe It In
Place your hand over your heart. Say the truth out loud and breathe it in.
Let it land in your body.
Step 5: Repeat with Love
This is not about forcing change overnight. It’s about consistency, compassion, and choice. The more you speak truth to the lies, the more your energy shifts—and life will reflect that.
You are here to shine. Not just the parts you like, but all of you. Embrace the shadows, rewrite the story, and remember the power that’s always been yours.
You’re not here to play small. You’re here to shift and grow.
