A Lesson in Love and Presence

Catching the Lies We Tell Ourselves
July 21, 2025On this sacred Earth Day, how are you choosing to celebrate this living, breathing miracle we call home?
I feel so deeply blessed—this past weekend was a true gift of connection and presence. Saturday morning began in quiet reverence, meditating on a patch of beautiful land, completely immersed in the subtle rhythms of nature. The energy of the beings around me was so alive, so palpable, I opened my eyes expecting to meet someone… but there was no one. Only the peace, vast and full, gently holding me.
I crossed paths with some radiant souls that day—kindred spirits whose light matched the warmth of the sun. Then, on Sunday morning, I followed the pull of the horizon, driving to greet the sunrise and spending precious time with the ocean, letting the sunlight soak into my skin. I took myself out for breakfast, savoring the quiet joy of simply being.
Monday brought me to my favorite ancient tree—born in the 1600s, wise and towering, a sentinel of time. I wrapped my arms around its limbs, whispering thanks to every branch. And on Tuesday, I returned, just to sit in stillness beneath its boughs and honor all it has given to the world.
That evening, I wandered through my neighborhood, offering gratitude to every tree I passed, feeling more rooted, more connected, more alive with each step. The beauty of this Earth is overwhelming—and in moments like these, I remember that to love Her is to come home to myself.
